Alcoa of Australia Retirement Plan (previously known as Alcoa wages fund No. 2) was established in 1989 to provide employer-sponsored retirement services to employees and their spouses. The retirement plan services both current and previous employees. With around 5,600 members and over $2.2 billion in funds under management making it one of the largest super funds in Western Australia.
Alcoa of Australia Retirement Plan is a complex super fund, administered by the fund and Mercer outsourcing. The Defined Benefit section was closed off to new members from the 1st of January 2001. From that date existing Defined Benefit members have had the option to transfer to the Accumulation section along with new members.
